CUBE HOUSES

Architect Pret Blom, believes that the buildings need to be distinctive to qualify it as housing. He thinks about the experience of living in trees, each elevated cube represent a tree and hence the building combined to represent a forest. He realizes that raising inhabitable cubes on narrow trunk would maximize the public place below while creating abstract views from above. It was a concept that was inspired by the work of Le Corbusier. After the construction of the building there will visually appealing but some functions, for example windows are not operable due to high noise level of the Blaak its station.
