Eating in space

Food is dried and packed on earth ready to hydrate and eat in space. Astronauts create a personalised daily menu according to the nutritions their body will need. They eat three meals a day ; breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Carbonated drinks cannot be taken to space because the microgravity separates the carbonation and the soda. Also salt and pepper will be in liquid form because otherwise they will float in the space station and that creates risks such as; they could clog the air vents, contaminate equipment or get in the eye or nose of the astronauts.
